Bio

Benjamin Perez is a Ringling College of Art and Design graduate. Although he began his education at Ringling in 2015, Benjamin had to leave school for two years when he was critically injured after being struck by a vehicle. He finished his semester successfully despite dizziness and collapsing from a concussion. He underwent two surgeries and five months of physical therapy for each surgery. These surgeries ensured that Benjamin would not lose the ability to walk. Because he spent most of his time strapped to machines, Benjamin found he could only conveniently work creating digital art.

In the two years that he was away from school after each recovery, Benjamin completed two murals, one of which he directed. He has now completed four murals in the Stuart area. He also began working on a graphic novel that he plans to publish in the near future.

After years of delay, Benjamin finally graduated with a Bachelors in Illustration and a Creative Writing Minor. He plans to continue work as a freelance artist with graphic novels, posters, children's books, and murals.
